Team Arcis is a student engineering team designing, building, and flying radio-controlled aircraft in SAE Aero Design and AIAA Design/Build/Fly competitions.

The team has run continuously across multiple academic years, with each batch building on the last, carrying forward institutional knowledge, design history, and engineering standards.

Design for Maximum Payload
SAE Aero Design Regular Class challenges teams to engineer radio controlled aircraft that carry the greatest possible payload within a defined set of mission rules. The competition evaluates design reports, system integration, and live flight performance.
Performance Driven Aircraft Design
AIAA DBF presents a multi-mission scoring scenario each year, requiring teams to optimise their aircraft geometry, payload, and flight profile against a unique set of technical objectives. The design report accounts for a significant portion of the final score.

Arcis is structured across several divisions: Aerodynamics, Structures, Avionics, Documentation and Marketing - each led by experienced members. The team is guided by faculty advisors and a core leadership of three.
